ARTIST STATEMENT

In meiner Arbeit geht es um eine Rückgewinnung von Möglichkeiten. Möglichkeiten, eine Sprache oder ein Bild für eine Weltbeschreibung abseits des Realismus zu finden.
Immer wieder festes Bild- oder Wortmaterial herauszufordern. Bedeutungen werden irritiert, zum Tanzen gebracht und Fakten aufgelöst. Ich hinterfrage das dualistische Nebeneinander von Abstraktion und Figuration, Realität und Fiktion.
Es ist das Spannungsfeld dazwischen, das mich interessiert.

My work is about a reclamation of possibilities. Possibilities to find a language or an image for a world description away from realism.
Repeatly slamming into fixed images or word material. Meanings are irritated, made to dance and facts dissolved. I question the dualistic juxtaposition of abstraction and figuration, reality and fiction.
It is the field of tension in between, that interests me.
